Shop and play at West Edmonton Mall
Shop, eat, and play at North America's biggest shopping mall, West Edmonton Mall in Alberta, Canada, which has the world’s biggest indoor waterpark, the world’s second biggest indoor amusement park, and more than 800 shops. The mall was the world’s biggest shopping mall when it opened in 1981 and now gets up to 150,000 visitors a day, or 28 million visitors a year!
Even if you don’t like shopping, there are lots of fun things to do there. You can fly through the air at the indoor amusement park, which has 24 rides and attractions, including a
giant triple loop roller coaster called the Mindbender, a Haunted Castle, and a 3D Fun House. And if
you feel like some crazy wet fun, check out the World Waterpark, which
has the world’s biggest indoor wave pool as well as water slides that
are up to 25 metres high.
Watch a concert at the HMV stage, go to see a film at the cinema, play paintball at the entertainment complex, bungee jump at the Bungee Tower or watch an ice hockey game at the Ice Palace. Then wander through themed areas like Chinatown, which has lots of Asian shops and restaurants, and Europa Boulevard, which has eclectic shops and a European streetscape. Enjoy!
