Talk about The Ting Tings (and Metallica)

Have your pupils listen to the podcast "The Ting Tings and Metallica". Then discuss the following questions.
- What kinds of music do your pupils like? Can they name different genres of music that they like (or don't like)?
- What are some of the differences between The Ting Tings and Metallica?
- James and Jules both talk about wanting to connect with their audiences. After listening to what James and Jules have to say (1:15), have your pupils talk more about what this group experience might be like. Have they ever been to a really great concert? Or a sporting event - a football match, for example - where the audience became really involved? Have they ever experienced something like what James is describing? It doesn't have to be related to a concert or performance.
- Why did Katie think her band wouldn't be successful (2:40)? What does she mean when she says they weren't "the hottest property in Manchester"?
