In many US schools, bullying is a problem. In a few, it is a very big problem. In Spot on right now, you can read about a teen in the US who has been bullied, but is now working to stand up and stop the bullies. What can you do to stop the bullies? It's not an easy question to answer, but we try as we talk about this issue in this week's podcast.

In the June Spot on, you can read about the problem of bullying at US schools. One teen explains that people bullied him because he's gay. To do the listening exercises on pages 16-17 in your MORE! workbooks, listen to the dialogue below.

2) Match the meanings

Listen to the conversation again and on page 17 in your MORE! workbooks, match the bold phrases with those on the right. Keep the meaning of the sentences the same.

3) That's so mean!

In the film Mean Girls 2 (Girls Club 2), Mandi (Maiara Walsh) and Hope (Nicole Anderson) want Jo (Meaghan Martin) to join their group. Listen to the scene and try to understand what the characters are saying. Then listen again while you answer the questions on page 17 of your MORE! workbooks.
