Teen sues golf course for millions

A US teenager is suing a golf course for $3 million after he hit himself in the eye with a golf ball.
Alex Good, 15, was playing golf at the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in Portland, Oregon, last April when his golf ball hit off a metal post and then hit him in the left eye. He is now suing the golf course for negligence.
His lawyer, Terrence Lee Hogan, told a court last week that the owners of the golf course are to blame for the accident because they should have known the post was in a dangerous place. He also said that Alex had to have eye surgery and may have eye problems for the rest of his life.
Another lawyer, Geordie Duckler, told reporters that Alex probably won’t win the case. “If a golfer sees a danger and hits the ball anyway, they have assumed the risk. Even if it’s a 15-year-old, we hold 15-year-olds to some level of responsibility,” he said.
