Teen boy sues his mother

A teenage boy is suing his mother for writing bad things about him on his Facebook page. The 16-year-old boy from the US state of Arkansas has accused his mum of harassment and wants a judge to stop her from contacting him ever again. He told police, "My mother hacked my Facebook and changed my password. She posted things that involve slander and personal facts about my life."

The boy’s mother, Denise New, says she didn’t do anything except read her son’s page and that she has the right to know what’s happening in his life. "I read things on his Facebook about how he had gone to Hot Springs one night and was driving 95 mph home because he was upset with a girl," she says. “It was his friend who called me and told me about all this. That gave me the idea to read his Facebook page to see what was going on.”

The police are not telling reporters the boy’s name because he is so young. They say he’s living with his grandmother now.
