Billion hits for US star Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga is already popular in the real world - now she's broken a record in the virtual world! The US star has become the first musician to get more than one billion video hits on websites like YouTube and Vevo. The Internet analysts Visible Measures have a list of videos that have had over 100 million hits and Lady Gaga has three videos in the top twenty - Poker Face, Bad Romance and Just Dance. The total hits of these three songs has now reached the billion mark!

However, there are other videos creeping up on her. Hip-hop artist Soulja Boy has over 700 million web hits with just one video - the song Crank Dat - while the trailer for Twilight film New Moon, starring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, is close behind with around 640 million.
