Students write the world’s longest letter
27.04.2010
Thousands of people in India have written God the world's longest letter. Students from Gujarat University in Ahmedabad, India, wanted to do something special to celebrate their university and the city. So they asked the people who lived there to help them write the longest letter in the world.
More than 2,800 people spent three hours writing the letter, which was 865 metres long. Many people wrote about peace and love and asked God for help. One of the students, Mauli Oza, told reporters, “Whatever little I have achieved in my life could not be possible without God's grace so I thanked him."
The second longest letter in the world was a letter to Santa Claus that 2,000 students in Romania wrote last November. It was 410 metres long.
