Anorexic model dies
An anorexic model who tried to help other people with eating disorders has died at age 28.
The French model and actress Isabelle Caro had anorexia since she was 13 and wrote a book about it called The Little Girl Who Didn't Want to Get Fat.
In 2007 she was in a shocking Italian campaign against anorexia that used images of her naked body to show people the effects of the eating disorder. Isabelle later told reporters she weighed about 27 kilograms at the time.
Caro died in France last November but her family waited until the end of
the year to tell the media that she was dead. Her acting teacher, Daniele Dubreuil-Prevot, said he didn’t know what caused her death but that she had been sick for a long time. “Her death and her illness are an absolute waste,” he said.
