Teens to learn to be parents

The future teens of Britain will start learning how to be parents when they’re just 14 years old. More teens are getting pregnant in Britain than in any other country in Europe. About 22 girls under the age of 15 become pregnant there every day.
Now a politician called Ed Balls thinks he has found a way to stop teens having babies at such a young age. Starting in 2011, he wants the children of Britain to start learning about their bodies when they’re five and learning about being a parent when they’re 14 – which is two years before they are legally allowed to have sex.
Ed is the Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families. He thinks that if teens realize how difficult it is to be a mum or dad, they will be less likely to have sex, and especially unprotected sex, until they're ready to be parents.
