Hold on to your underpants - it's a kangaroo!
A family near Australia’s capital, Canberra, was attacked by a kangaroo last night. Beat Ettlin, 42 and originally from Switzerland, said, “I thought it was a lunatic ninja, an intruder!” Beat was in bed with his wife and 9-year-old daughter when the kangaroo surprised them by jumping through the bedroom window. “I could hear it breathing, but otherwise there was silence. It was a freaky moment,” Beat told Sky News. It’s best not to fight a kangaroo, but when he heard his 10-year-old son, Leighton, scream after the kangaroo jumped into his room, Beat ran and got the animal in a headlock. The intruding kangaroo fought back, tearing holes in the hero dad’s underpants and scratching his bum, but Beat finally got him outside. Kangaroos are often seen in the towns outside big cities, but they rarely go into homes. Beat thought the kangaroo might have been curious because they had a light on in the bedroom.
