Take it easy!

MikaMika is back for a very short, very special acoustic concert tour to promote his new EP, Songs For Sorrow. Born in Beirut, Michael (Mica) Holbrook Penniman grew up in London and Paris. He trained to be an opera singer but decided pop music was what he really wanted to sing. His first album, Life in Cartoon Motion, was a massive international hit in 2007 thanks to songs like "Grace Kelly" and "Relax, Take It Easy".

Ever heard of "flower punk"? That's how the Black Lips from Atlanta, Georgia, describe themselves! They formed in 2000, when they were still teenagers. Their first album appeared in 2003 and this year they released their fifth album called 200 Million Thousand. The band is famous for crazy live shows that often include vomit, nudity, band members kissing, fireworks and chickens!

The Maccabees

The Maccabees

The Maccabees found their band name by flicking through a Bible and choosing the first word they liked! The indie band from Brighton, England, released Colour It In in 2007, and this month came out with a new album called Wall Of Arms. They have a post-punk sound with a two-guitar attack from brothers Hugo and Felix White and Orlando Weeks's anguished vocals.
