U2 made the most money last year

The Irish rock band U2 made more money than any other artist last year. The music magazine Billboard says that the four musicians from Dublin made $109 million, mostly from their world tour and from selling albums. They made almost twice as much as singer Bruce Springsteen, who made the second most money, followed by Madonna and AC/DC.

U2’s 360 Degree tour is one of the most expensive tours ever. It started in Barcelona, Spain, at the end of June and included more than 40 concerts last year. It will begin again in the US this summer. U2 plan to play 22 concerts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and other European countries between August and early October.
