The Netherlands says no to Snoop Dogg
22.06.2010
Snoop Dogg has had to cancel a concert in the Netherlands after officials decided they don’t want him there. The US rapper was planning to play at a free festival called Parkpop in The Hague later this month. However, city and police officials asked the festival organizers to tell Snoop not to come “to preserve the free, open and friendly nature” of the event.
A statement from Snoop Dogg’s management says, “Snoop Dogg is astonished by the decision. Snoop is a mainstay at music festivals all over the world and has played at all of these without incident.” Snoop Dogg has been in trouble with the police many times, mostly for having drugs or weapons. Officials in the UK and Australia each banned him from their countries for a while in 2007.
