Taylor Swift in Germany

The best-selling American singer came to Oberhausen on Saturday night as part of her "Speak Now World Tour". And that was Taylor's message: if you've got something to say, don't wait!

Speak Now is the title of Taylor's latest album. The song of the same name is a story of how you shouldn't marry the wrong person. Good tip!

The König-Pilsener-Arena was only half-full, but the atmosphere was electric when the lights went down just after eight o'clock and Taylor appeared high up at the back of the stage.

"You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess," she sang during "Love Story", which finished the excellent show 90 minutes later. Taylor certainly looked like a princess all evening, with her long blonde hair and beautiful dresses.

Her fans were ecstatic and sang every word of "Fearless", "Fifteen", "You belong to me" and "The Story of us". Taylor clearly knows how to teach English to teenagers!

It was indeed an evening of love and heartache - and a wonderful one. A superstar and a princess had come to town.
