Speech Debelle wins Mercury Prize

She was homeless on the streets of London for four years. But now rapper Speech Debelle is on top of the world! The 26-year-old has won the biggest music prize in the UK, the Mercury Prize, for her debut album, Speech Therapy. She beat lots of hugely successful acts like La Roux, Kasabian and Florence and the Machine to win the prize of 20,000 pounds. After the win, Speech said, "If you believe in something and you think you can do it, you can."
