Sharon Osbourne says sorry to Susan Boyle

It’s never OK to call someone ugly. That’s what TV star Sharon Osbourne found out after she called British singer Susan Boyle ugly on a US radio show. Sharon is married to rock star Ozzy Osbourne and became famous after she was in a reality TV show about their lives called The Osbournes. Now Sharon is a judge on the US TV show America’s Got Talent - which is the US version of the talent competition that Susan Boyle took part in this summer, Britain’s Got Talent. Many people were shocked when Sharon said in a radio interview that she thought Susan had been had been “hit with a ugly stick”. A few weeks later Sharon used the social-networking web site Twitter to apologize. She wrote, "Susan Boyle is a lovely woman and I took advantage of that by poking fun at her. I would never want to be responsible for hurting Susan and I must apologize for getting a cheap laugh at her expense." Susan is on tour in the US now and is releasing her first album, I Dreamed a Dream, later this month.
