Robbie Williams has left Take That
Robbie Williams has left Take That – again. The singer first left the band 16 years ago to have a solo career. But he rejoined them last year to make an album called Progress, which went to Number One in the UK, and go on a tour called Progress Live, which included the highest-grossing concert series ever.
Now Take That’s Gary Barlow says Robbie has left the band again but that everyone is happy with his decision. "It was beautiful,” he says. “We got on well. We finished the tour. The fans have come along and been happy. Now Rob's doing a solo record and from this point it's back to where it was.”
Although the band members have had problems with Robbie in the past, Gary says they will always be there for him and that Rob is welcome to rejoin the band at any time. “It would be unfair for me to say he's the one with the ego because I've got a pretty big ego as well. He's our brother, Rob is, and if he's ever in trouble or he wants to have a year off being Robbie Williams, he's welcome any time.”
