Paranormal Activity is so scary that it's making people sick

A teenager in Italy had to go to hospital after seeing the horror film Paranormal Activity because she was so scared. A hospital spokesman told reporters the 14-year-old girl arrived at the hospital in a state of paralysis. He added that many other people had called the hospital saying that the film scared them so much that it gave them “panic attacks lasting more than half an hour”.

Now parents and politicians are asking that the film, about a woman haunted by a demon, be rated over 18. The film was rated R in the US, which means you have to be over 16 to see it, and 15 in the UK. But it didn’t get any rating in Italy, which means people of all ages are allowed to see it there.
