Orlando Bloom has a new job
In some of the world’s poorest countries, people are dying because they don’t have enough clean water. This will be the message of British actor Orlando Bloom in a short film he’s making for the children’s organization Unicef. Orlando, 32, has visited schools and villages all over the world on behalf of Unicef since he started working with them in 2007. Now he has just got a new job, as a Unicef goodwill ambassador, and his first task is to film an appeal about the importance of clean water in poor countries. Orlando says, “I look forward to working with Unicef as they continue to make the world a better place for children.” Other star Unicef ambassadors include footballer David Beckham and singer Shakira. You can see Orlando play a film composer in the romantic comedy New York, I Love You, in cinemas here early next year.
