LL Cool J to host Grammys
24.01.2012
Singer LL Cool J will host this year’s Grammy Awards. “I'm thrilled to be part of music's biggest night," he told reporters. “I will always have fond memories of my first Grammy Awards and to now be hosting the show is a dream come true."
This year’s show in Los Angeles on 12 February will include performances by Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj and Foo Fighters. The 1960’s band the Beach Boys are also rumoured to perform. The band’s guitarist, Al Jardine, recently told Rolling Stone magazine, “There will be a surprise at the Grammys. We'll do something really exciting. There's a lot of interest in it, which is nice."
LL Cool J will be the show’s first official host since 2004, when it stopped having one host and started having guest presenters instead. Kanye West, Adele and Taylor Swift are some of the stars expected to win awards.
