Lindsay Lohan is going to jail - but for how long?

Actress Lindsay Lohan is going to jail for 90 days. A judge has told Lindsay she will have to spend almost three months in jail - starting next week - because she missed some court-ordered classes about alcohol. Lindsay started crying when she heard the news. She told the judge, "I did everything I was told to do and did the best I could to balance jobs and go to the classes.”

Lindsay has been on probation for three years for taking drugs and drunk driving. She had to start wearing an alcohol-monitoring bracelet after she missed a court hearing earlier this year. She will go to jail on 20 July, but because of overcrowding, she could end up spending a lot less time there than the judge ordered her to. In 2007 she was ordered to spend one day in jail, but she was released again after 84 minutes. After she leaves jail this time, she will have to spend another 90 days at a rehab centre.
