Lindsay Lohan denies stealing necklace
15.02.2011
Actress Lindsay Lohan was in court last week for stealing a $2,500 necklace from a shop in California. The 24-year-old wore a white dress to court, pleaded not guilty and wrote on Facebook the next day, “I would never steal, in case people are wondering. I was not raised to lie, cheat, or steal."
The star has already been in trouble with the law for driving while drunk. Judge Keith Schwartz told her in court, “You’re in a different situation now that a felony has been filed against you. Look around this room. Everybody else has to follow the law. You’re no different than anyone else. So please, don’t push your luck.”
Lindsay had to pay $80,000 to stay out of jail. If she’s found guilty of stealing the necklace, she could go to prison for three years.
