Kate Nash dazzles Munich
Her supporting act was New York girl band Supercute! And the band name fits the three teenage band members perfectly. Their music can be described as "bubblegum pop", they play the ukelele, guitar and piano, and even make their own clothes and CD covers. Their show was very entertaining, especially when they danced with hula hoops while singing. At one point Kate joined them on stage and sang along.
Kate Nash started her show with "I Just Love You More", performing in a pink leotard. She played almost all the songs from her latest album My Best Friend Is You. Kate's music is a mixture of rock, pop and punk. She has a very powerful voice and sings with feeling and anger about love, family, friendship, human rights and freedom. An extremely talented musician, Kate writes her own songs and music. She played the guitar and the piano – even with her feet!
She also spoke at length about equality, saying that, for example, there are six times more boys' bands than girls'. And Kate wants this to change! She also played her hit song "Foundations" from her first album Made of Bricks. The audience loved "Kiss That Grrl" and "Doh-Wah-Doo", dancing and singing along to Kate's catchy and meaningful lyrics.
