Germany loves New Moon
Twilight fans in Germany were so eager to get tickets to an early screening of the second Twilight film that they caused Internet servers around the country to collapse. Big cinema companies like UCI Kinowelt and Kinopolis started selling tickets to a special early screening of the new film New Moon earlier this month. But so many people tried to buy tickets in the first hours after they went on sale that many of the companies' servers collapsed. Thomas Schuelke of UCI Kinowelt says, "The idea for an online presale was a huge success. Our servers experienced some incredible pressure." The 150,000 fans who bought more than 150,000 tickets to the screenings will watch the first and second Twilight films together the weekend before New Moon is released to German cinemas – on 26 November.![endif]-->!--[if>![endif]-->!--[if>
