Blue to sing at Eurovision Song Contest
The British pop band Blue will represent the UK in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Germany. The band started in 2000 and have sold more than 13 million albums. They say they are celebrating ten years together by taking part in the contest. Band member Simon Webbe told reporters, "I've always wanted to represent my country so this is a truly exciting experience for Blue."
More than 40 countries will take place in this year’s song contest, which will happen in Dusseldorf on 14 May. Last year German teenager Lena Mayer-Landrut won the song contest for Germany with a song called “Satellite”, while British teenager Josh Dubovie, who represented the UK, came in last place. Lena will represent Germany again this year.
