Avatar becomes the biggest film ever
Avatar has become the biggest selling film ever. And that means director James Cameron has beaten his own record.
In 1997 James made the film Titanic, starring Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet. It made $1.843 billion and became the biggest selling film of all time. Then last year James made a film called Avatar, about a marine on an alien planet. Avatar has beaten Titanic’s record, making $1.859 billion in its first six weeks. James told reporters, "I put everything in Avatar that I ever wanted to see in a film. It came from all the science-fiction books I read when I was a kid and it just gestated over time."
Avatar received nine Oscar nominations, including in best film, and movie fans are already getting excited about James’ next project, Battle Angel, about a future war on Earth. It’s coming to cinemas next year.

I think that's great. I love Avatar and it's more than a film. Everyone who saw it too would say the same, wouldn't they?
Glad you liked it. I haven't seen it yet, but I think I'll have to. Thanks for commenting!
