At a New York party, Ke$ha gets a surprise
Singers earn their money by selling singles and albums and going on tour, playing concerts for their fans. But some fans can afford private performances. That was the case for one lucky teenager in New York last week. For the hefty sum of $50,000, Ke$ha came to the birthday bash to perform two of her songs. But when Ke$ha wished the guest of honour a happy birthday, she got some strange looks. It turns out the party wasn't for a 16-year-old's birthday party, but for a 13-year-old's bat mitzvah – a celebration for Jewish girls being welcomed into their community.
So why did the star think it was a birthday party? Many celebrities won't perform for teenagers until they're 16. Maybe Ke$ha will come back when the girl does turn 16.
