A British DJ is fired for calling the queen boring
A British DJ lost his job for calling the queen’s speech boring. Every year millions of people listen to the Queen of England making a speech on Christmas Day. But listeners of a radio station in Birmingham called BRMB got a shock when DJ Tom Binns stopped broadcasting the Queen's Christmas Message and said it was boring.
The station’s owner later fired Tom, saying that many listeners were offended by what he had said. However Tom, who also works as a comedian, says it was just a joke and that the station shouldn’t have fired him. "I knew I would need to take the speech off the air because I didn't know how long it would be. I knew anyone who was interested in hearing what the Queen said would be watching it on TV or listening on another station.”
