When the Earth starts falling apart, big floods destroy most of the planet and the US government uses big ships to try to save the last people alive.

Burke Ryan (Aaron Eckhart) loses his wife. Although he feels like his life is over, he writes a book about grief. Suddenly Burke is a successful self-help guru who travels around the country teaching people how to deal with the loss of someone they loved.
