Disney stars are making a change

Disney’s most popular stars are trying to save the world. Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers, are just some of the stars in a group called Disney’s Friends for Change. Disney started the group this summer to encourage young people to help save the planet. They also want teens to help them decide how to spend one million dollars on environmental projects. Disney's Friends for Change stars often appear on the Disney Channel telling teens what they can do to help the environment. They will use the money they get for their song, “Send It On”, to help save the planet too.

You might think you can’t do much to save the planet. But the stars from Disney’s Friends for Change say you can do great things. You can be the spark that starts a fire. That means that you have a lot of power and can use it to change the world. You are responsible for everything you do so it’s important that you start doing the right thing now.
