1) In danger

In the magazine in February, you can read about a new science-fiction film about life after the world has been destroyed. To do our listening exercises about world-ending disasters, listen to this conversation between Phoebe and Ben. Then listen again while you answer the questions on page 16 in your MORE! workbook.

2) Big bang

Listen to the dialogue again. Both Ben and Phoebe use a lot of words that have a very similar meaning to the word "disaster". In your MORE! booklet, fill in the missing letters to write those synonymns from the dialogue.

3) Goodbye, world!

In the disaster film 2012, Jackson (John Cusack) hears on his radio that something bad is going to happen. He goes to the studio to talk to the radio announcer, Charlie (Woody Harrelson).
