Too cool for school?

Are you too cool for school? Millions of teens are finishing school this month. They’ll soon find out that the real world is very different to the schoolyard and that the most unpopular teens often become the most popular adults.

The most popular teens at schools are usually football players and cheerleaders. The least popular teens are often smart kids, known as geeks, and artistic kids, known as goths. Well, guess what?

Most of the popular teens at my school now have really boring lives while the smart kids are becoming rich executives and the goths are doing what they love, whether that’s directing music videos or selling artwork on the beach.

Singer Avril Lavigne, Twilight actor Taylor Lautner and Harry Potter writer JK Rowling were all bullied at school for being different. They were too cool for school. Just look at them now!

Being different might seem like a bad thing at school. But in the real world, it can make you stand out in a crowd and get your dream job and even your dream date.

So whether you’re finishing school for good or just for the summer, know that school isn’t the real world and you can still become anyone and anything that you want to be.
