Stay cool
"I hate you," my brother said.
Ouch. But really, I couldn't blame him. I had been complaining about the chilly weather in Munich - even though it's August, I keep having to wear sweaters to stay warm! It's different at home, in the US state of Missouri. There, we often have temperatures of 100° Fahrenheit (about 38° Celsius) in the summer!
Luckily, there's air conditioning everywhere - in our homes, in stores, at school, and in the car. We need it! But when I talked to my brother on the phone last week, even the air conditioning wasn't enough to keep him cool. "I just look out the window and I start sweating," he sighed.
I thought about telling him more about the cool summer here. But then I decided to keep my mouth shut. No more talking about the weather for me - I don't want my family to disown me!
