Live now or survive later?
I 'd rather live now than survive later. So I can’t understand why some people are willing to spend tens of thousands of dollars for a chance to survive if the world ends.
People from a company in California called Vivos are building underground shelters, which each cost around $10 million to build and house from a few dozen to a few hundred people.
They say the shelters will house 4,000 people worldwide and will allow people to survive any catastrophe, including an earthquake, an asteroid and a nuclear attack, for up to a year.
So far, more than 7,000 people have applied to live in the shelters, at a cost of between $25,000 and $50,000 per person. The company is also building a special vault that will have DNA and reproductive cells to allow survivors to repopulate the Earth.
I don’t know about you but the last place I’d want to be if the world ended is underground with a group of strangers. I think everyone would go crazy if they were locked up together like that, knowing the world they’d known was gone forever.
I’d rather live in the moment and if a catastrophe does happen, take my chances above ground. What about you?

Why would people want to survive after apocalypse when the whole world is destroyed then. I mean, I wouldn't want to live in a giant scrapyard... :-(
