Johnny Depp kissed me!

It’s hard to get excited about seeing stars when you live in Los Angeles. Go to any hip Hollywood club or restaurant and you’ll probably see someone famous. So what? Famous people are just people. There are a lot of celebrities that I respect and admire but there’s only one that I get really excited about seeing, and that’s actor Johnny Depp.

Johnny’s a really nice guy. He’s in lots of my favourite films, including Ed Wood, Edward Scissorhands and Finding Neverland. And he has a very special quality that makes him a bit magical, at least in my eyes. When I heard he was going to the premier of his new film, The Rum Diary, at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art last Thursday, I got two of my friends together and went along.

The premier started at 7.30pm but we got there around 3pm so we could get a good spot at the barrier. More people gathered in the evening and when Johnny arrived, they started freaking out and shouting his name. The security had to push against the barriers to stop them from falling over. It was pretty chaotic!

Johnny walked along the barrier signing autographs. I didn’t have anything for him to sign so I just told him how much I love him and how amazing he is. He called me a sweetheart, hugged me and kissed me on the cheek. I still can’t believe it – Johnny Depp kissed me ;-). It was a very special evening!
