Armed bear, bearing arms
"The right to bear arms" – say this to most Americans, and they should be able to tell you that this phrase has something to do with the constitution, and Americans' right to own guns (though of course not everybody agrees on this).
But what about the right to arm bears?
No, although the language here – with the help of some homophones – let's us turn the noun into the verb, and the verb into the noun, the US constitution still only allows the bearing of arms, and not the arming of bears.
That just seems a pity, because look what this bear in a Japanese zoo can do, armed only with a stick.
Now, if only summer would finally get here. I want my right to bare arms!
